Quoc Trieu Nguyen is Aqua Coordinator at Olmix, a French company specialising in algae products for the industry, and strongly represented in Vietnam.

At ILDEX Vietnam, on the afternoon of Friday 25 March, Mr Nguyen will be speaking at Perendale's very own Aquatic Update conference. He will present on 'Sustainable solutions for optimised aqua diet formulations.'
Here's a bit more detail:
Compared to other sub-regions in the Asia-Pacific, Aquaculture in southeast Asia is highly diversified with a large number of species cultured in fresh, brackish and marine environments but is still suffering a high production cost versus final output. This is due to a significant increase in veterinary costs, labour costs and, most important, feed costs which can account for 70 - 80 percent of the total invested capital.

Olmix has created a new technology, MFeed+, comprised of a variety of sophisticated cofactors which play an important role in increasing biocatalysis. This promising product has shown its efficiency in the optimisation of tilapia diets which were composed of less digestive proteins in a trial conducted in 2015 at Kassesart University, Thailand.
