13/08/2015: Trøndelag region well represented at Aqua-Nor

The Trøndelag region is well represented at Aqua Nor.

“This is an important exhibition for an industry characterised by strong growth,” says The Regional Councillor for regional development, Mr Terje Sørvik.

The Aqua Nor exhibition opens in Trondheim on Tuesday 18th August. The Trøndelag counties are represented by the largest stand at the exhibition.

The two counties have coordinated the representation of 66 various participating companies and organisations that wish to get exposure at the world’s largest aquaculture technology exhibition. Interest in the more northerly county, North Trøndelag, has been especially great. This comes as no surprise to Mr Sørvik.

This is an industry undergoing very strong growth at the moment, and Aqua Nor has become a very important meeting place, says Sørvik, who will be present with the County Council and leading authorities from the two counties.

At the stand, one can, in addition to industry companies and suppliers, meet representatives of the various coastal municipalities and get a taste of seafood from the region. On the 19th of August the stand organises the traditional Trøndelag Evening at the Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel.

Visitors should also stop by Skansen harbour, where there is a small armada of newly developed vessels adapted to the increasing sise of the Trøndelag aquaculture industry.
