Event: GOAL 2012

GOAL 2012 will convene leaders in aquaculture production, processing, marketing and retailing for expert presentations in Bangkok, Thailand, October 30 to November 2. Attend this annual GAA event to examine issues from investment and social accountability to emerging production challenges.  

At GOAL, shrimp health specialist Dr. Donald Lightner and NACA research program manager Dr. Chadag Mohan will review their work on a World Bank-funded project evaluating EMS/AHPNS in Vietnam. Michael Tlusty, New England Aquarium researcher, will present the case for certification in making a difference to the environment.

Trade Department Manager Benny Chuchen will discuss Pacific Andes' ongoing journey toward sustainability. Norm Grant, executive chairman of the Seafood Importers Association of Australia, will focus on the burgeoning Australian seafood marketplace. Panelists from U.S. Foods, Safeway, Morrisons, Hannaford Brothers, M & J Seafood, Kingston Foods, Schnucks Markets and others will share their thoughts on seafood at the consumer level.
