High-rise aquaponics

Modern urban agriculture has been around since the 1970s but while city farms are traditionally home to crops and livestock, a more scaly friend looks set to join the collective.
Freshwater tilapia farmer, Christopher Toole hopes to bring aquaponics to the Bronx, encouraging New Yorkers to grow fish wherever they can – be it in big rubbish bins, tanks or even bathrooms.
With hundreds of city dwellers joining in, the trend continues to grow and grow.
